How to Create an SEO Content Brief With AI
A good brief gives an AI system enough context to make useful decisions while leaving room for an editor to improve the page.
Start with the user outcome
Write one sentence describing what the reader should understand or be able to do after reading the page. This becomes the anchor for every section.
Add SERP evidence
Summarize the dominant page types, recurring concepts and meaningful gaps from current results. Do not paste competitor content into the prompt.
Specify sources and claim rules
List primary sources the draft may use and identify claims that require verification. For commercial pages, flag pricing, features, guarantees and testimonials as unstable.
Define structure without overfitting
Give the draft the major questions and desired sequence, but avoid forcing a rigid heading template when the topic does not need it.
Add internal-link targets
Include the likely parent hub, useful sibling pages and any natural next-step guide. This makes internal linking part of content creation rather than cleanup.
