Koala pricing scales mainly with content volume and feature access. The useful question is not simply “what does it cost?” but “which workflow do I actually need?”

Current plan structure

As of August 30, 2026, Koala lists monthly plans beginning at $9/month for Essentials. Professional is listed at $49/month, with higher-volume Boost, Growth, Elite, Advanced and Scale plans above that. Koala also advertises annual billing with a discount.

What changes as you move up

The plan differences are not only word counts. Professional currently adds features including automatic internal linking, Deep Research, AI-powered editing, KoalaLinks and KoalaMagnets. Higher plans mainly increase content and chat allowances and, on some tiers, bulk-creation speed.

Which plan is the practical starting point

Essentials can make sense when you are validating the workflow with modest output. Professional becomes more relevant when internal linking, research depth and a larger content operation matter. High-volume plans should be justified by a real publishing pipeline rather than purchased simply because they exist.

Watch the model multiplier

Koala notes that word-count usage can vary by selected model. On the current pricing page, using certain premium models consumes the allowance at a higher rate than the baseline model. That means headline word limits are not always equivalent to the number of finished articles you can generate.

Before you subscribe

Estimate the number of articles you actually publish per month, your average finished length, how much rewriting is typical, and whether you will use internal linking or direct publishing. Then check the official pricing page again immediately before purchase because SaaS pricing and limits can change.
